Inglenook Creche Childcare Centre is a not-for-profit childcare centre currently serving families with children aged 12 months to 12 years in Owen Sound, Ontario.

A Gentle Start to a Lifetime of Learning
Toddler Program
12 months - 2.5 years
Our Tiny Tots program focuses on nurturing care, consistency, and sensory exploration. With a low child-to-educator ratio, your little one receives personalized attention in a calm, cozy environment.
We support early development through music, movement, stories, and play—fostering trust, curiosity, and early communication.
Building Confidence and Independence
Pre-School
2.5 - 5 years
Our preschool programs encourage active learning through imaginative play, creative arts, science, and storytelling. We help children build essential skills in communication, problem-solving, and social interaction while nurturing their natural sense of wonder.
Each child is supported as they grow more independent, preparing for kindergarten with confidence.
Before & After School Care
School Age
4 - 12 years
Our School Age program offers enriching care before and after school hours. Children can unwind, connect with friends, and explore a variety of activities—from crafts and games to homework help and outdoor play.
We also provide full-day care on PD days and March Break.
Summer Adventures
Summer Camp
4-12 years
Our summer camp program is packed with hands-on activities, nature walks, water play, and creative exploration. Kids enjoy a fun-filled, active summer in a safe and familiar environment.
Established in 1991
History
In 1991 Inglenook Creche was a childcare centre operated by Community Living Owen Sound and District. At that time it’s Board of Directors chose to close the centre in June of 1991. A group of concerned parents formed an organization to ensure that the quality care and philosophy of Inglenook Creche would be maintained. From this desire, grew Inglenook Creche Childcare Centre Inc., a unique parent/volunteer not-for-profit organization operating since July, 1991. The centre is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of members made up of parents and community members.
In 2021, we moved to our current location in the old St. Thomas church at 1331 4th Avenue West, Owen Sound.
